Retail sales in Indonesia fell 19.2% in December

Bayanalysis - Indonesia's retail sales declined 19.2 percent year-on-year in December of 2020 according to Central Bank of Indonesia, and retail sales fell by 16.3 percent in November of the same year.

This is the thirteenth consecutive month of decline in retail trade in Indonesia, and the most severe since May 2020, amid the prolonged impact of the Covid-19 crisis, which prompted people to stay at home most of their time, in order to avoid infection with the virus.
